In the words of team leader Donald Triumph PAP, (President Angry Puppy), ‘A Sexual Economy is a project that examines a ‘maniakku’ surrounding sexual desire.’ The source photographs are found on international chat sites and are pictures that people choose as a way to represent their selves online - most specifically to represent their sexual-selves. The titles remain as they were found with the photographs. These images portray individual desires that relate to the construction of self in a highly coded society. This project offers a critique of desiring your persecutors without condemning the said desire, whilst at the same time saying, ‘Hey….interesting marketing strategy!’
